Requirements
An important step in becoming a licensed family child care provider is to attend a family child care information/orientation meeting. Orientation sessions are scheduled for the second Thursday in January, March, May, July, September and November from 9 am-12 pm. Orientation sessions will be held at one of the MNPrairie office locations (Mantorville, Owatonna or Waseca).
Pre-registration is required to attend a family child care information & orientation session. To register, contact MNPrairie at 507-431-5600 and ask to speak to a Family Child Care licensor.
