SNAP (food support) employment and training

The goal of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program employment and training program (SNAP E&T) is to help SNAP recipients gain employment and self-sufficiency.

As of December 1, 2018, SNAP E&T is an all voluntary program. This means you will no longer be required to work with SNAP E&T. These services, however, will still be available to SNAP participants who want help meeting the work requirements in order to earn additional months of SNAP benefits or to improve their employment prospects and wage potential.

SNAP E&T can provide SNAP applicants and recipients with:

• Free training
• Supportive services such as transportation assistance and other job related necessities
• Help with job search
